Warren E. Steller earned six letters at Oberlin and was voted All-Ohio football end in 1919. Playing predominantly at fullback on offense and at linebacker on defense, Steller was twice elected captain of the Yeomen grid squad. He coached baseball and basketball at Oberlin during the 1920-21 school year and at Wesleyan for two years. In 1924 he became the first athletic director at Bowling Green State University and was the head coach of the school's football, basketball, and baseball teams.
