Shannon Fox was a standout track and field and cross country athlete for Oberlin from 1993-1997, earning 11 letters over her illustrious four-year career.
Fox was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Cross Country Runner of the Year in 1995 and 1996, claiming the conference championship in both seasons. The two-time (1996, 1997) NCAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year was also named to the NCAC 20th Anniversary Cross Country team in 2003.
Inside on the track, Fox was the conference champion in both the 5,000 and 3,000 meters in 1995 and claimed the 5,000 crown again in 1997.
At the 1996 NCAC Outdoor Championships, Fox became the first female in school history to capture three conference titles at the same meet by winning the 10,000, 5,000 and 3,000 meters. She also was the league champion in both the 10,000 and 5,000 in 1995.
Fox, the 1996 Yeowoman of the Year, earned a juris doctorate from the University of Florida in 2001.
