An elite distance runner throughout her career, Lorraine Tuchfeld Goodwin is a former North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) champion and school record holder.

From 1999-2003 Goodwin was a five-time All-NCAC selection between cross country and track, finishing in the top 10 in six championship events. A two-year cross country team captain and two-time team MVP, Goodwin was the 2003 NCAC champion in the outdoor 5,000-meters. Her senior year also featured a conference title in the indoor distance medley relay, which broke both the Oberlin and NCAC Championship records (12:54.43). Goodwin established two other records in 2003, setting new Oberlin marks in the outdoor 1,500-meters (4:44:47) and the outdoor 5000-meters (17:47.69).

The 2002-03 team Athlete of the Year and a three-time All-Academic selection, Goodwin would give back to the local community by tutoring local middle school students in math and English.

After graduating in 2003 with a degree in art history, she went on to earn a master's degree in museum studies at San Francisco State University. She currently works as a museum interpretation consultant.

An active member of the Impala Racing Team for over 10 years (a competitive women's running team in San Francisco), she now resides in Charlotte, NC where she enjoys exploring new running trails.
