Kathleen Podmaniczky, then Kathleen Crowe, earned her A.B. in Physics from Oberlin College in 1978. At Oberlin, she had diverse athletic interests, competing on the Cross Country, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Basketball, and Track teams. She earned 10 varsity letters, including four in basketball, and was co-captain of the basketball and track teams her senior year. A basketball standout, she was named to the All-Tournament Team at the University of Chicago Invitational Basketball Tournament. Podmaniczky was also the Student Representative at the 1978 national meeting of the Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women. From 1978 until 1980, Kathleen Podmaniczky taught Physics, Earth Science, Algebra, and Geometry and coached soccer, basketball, and track at the Millbrook Prep School, in Millbrook, New York. She went on to work in the Medical Physics Department at the Memorial Hospital, New York, N.Y., and then to become Vice President of Software Development at Medisys, Inc. in Scarsdale, N.Y. Currently, she is Software Engineer for IMPAC Medical Systems, Inc., in Palo Alto, California and resides in Pleasant Valley, New York.
