Edgar and Edwin Fauver were all-sport athletes who specialized as fast and brainy football players whose trick plays helped establish Oberlin as a power in the mid-western athletics in the decade before the adoption of the forward pass. Both coached at Oberlin after graduation. Both became physicians and, along with J.H. Nichols ('11) and Dudley Reed ('03), founded Camp Pemigewasset in New Hampshire. "Win" Fauver served as Director of Physical Education and Athletics at the University of Rochester for many years as "Gar" held the same position at Wesleyan University.
