Douglas B. Walker is one of 23 male swimmers in program history to earn All-America honors. A 1982 graduate, Walker earned a bachelor of arts in history at Oberlin.

From 1978 to 1982, Walker swam to multiple Ohio Athletic Conference championships on his way to an All-American performance in ’78-’79. A four-time varsity letter-winner, he spent his final year at Oberlin coaching the water polo club.

Walker began his journey to All-America status in Trenton, Michigan, where he first started to swim competitively. After moving to St. Louis, Walker swam at St. Louis Country Day High School for Oberlin alumnus and 1971 NCAA All-American Dan Hinrichs.
