Daniel "Bill" Kramer

Daniel W. Kramer played on the varsity football teams in 1942, '43, and '48 and basketball in '42 and '43. In 1943 he was quarterback and captain of the team that tied DePauw in its opening game and then proceeded to win their remaining seven games to finish undefeated. Kramer was co-aptain in each of these games with men from the Navy V-12 unit who had been chosen captains of their own college teams before receiving orders to attend Oberlin. He received his MD degree in '47 from the University of Rochester and served as a "paradoc" flight surgeon in the USAF Air Rescue Service from 1951-54. He has been in general practice as a physician since 1955.
