By the time she graduated in 2003, Courtney Stackhouse had become a prolific track and field sprinter and a key member of the Oberlin women’s soccer team. An eleven-time varsity letter winner, Stackhouse excelled on the track, where she broke multiple school and North Coast Athletic Conference records while garnering the program’s Most Valuable Sprinter award three times.
As a second-year, Stackhouse rang in the new millennium by taking home a combined four individual titles. In 2000, she won the 55-meter and 200-meter dashes at the indoor championships, then went on to win the 100- and 200-meter events at the outdoor meet. Those four victories were record-setting performances, earning her back-to-back NCAC Most Valuable Performer laurels. Stackhouse finished with 10 NCAC individual titles over her tenure and will forever hold the school record in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.30 seconds.
