Christopher R. Browning earned two letters in lacrosse and three in ice hockey. He was co-aptain of the Yeomen hockey team in 1966-67 and a member of the Midwest Lacrosse Association first All-Midwest team. He was one of nine winners of the NCAA's college division $1,000 scholarships in '67. He graduated summa cum laude with high honors in history and was awarded the Comfort Starr Prize and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Browning was a Woodrow Wilson Fellow and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. He is an associate professor of history at Pacific Lutheran University.
