Carter Donohoe received his A.B. in economics from Oberlin in 1950. From 1946-1950 he earned eight varsity letters as a member of the basketball and tennis teams. Donohoe served as co-captain of the 1950 Yeomen basketball team, which established a school record for victories with a mark of 15-3, and won the Ohio Conference championship with a 5-1 record. During his four seasons with the tennis team, the Yeomen were an amazing 38-1 and were undefeated from 1948-1950. Oberlin shared conference titles in 1947 and 1949, and won outright championships in 1948 and 1950. Donohoe and John Wenrich were conference doubles champions in 1949 and 1950. In addition to his athletic prowess, Donohoe kept busy as a member of the student council and served as senior class president. After leaving Oberlin, he earned his J.D. from Harvard Law and has worked as an attorney in Cleveland, Ohio, since 1953. Donohoe is a partner in Bustamante, Donohoe and Palmisano, and is presently associated with Coaxum-Hewitt Attorneys.
