C. Robert Keesey came to Oberlin as a Gray scholar in 1941. Keesey played on the 1942 OC football team that finished 6-1-1. Keesey entered the Army and returned to Oberlin when the war was over. He was football captain in 1947 and played on the varsity baseball team. Keesey received the A.B. in 1948, worked as Director of the Men's Building (Wilder Hall) and freshman counselor in 1948-49, alumni secretary 1949-53, director of the development 1953-57, and assistant to the president until the early 1960's when he left Oberlin to become an administrator at the University of New Hampshire. He has served Oberlin as a member of the Alumni Board and he and his wife, the former Eileen Moore ('49), are charter members of the John W. Heisman Club.
