Bruce Kinsey earned four varsity letters in swimming. He rewrote the Oberlin record book in his freshman year, shattering varsity records in the 150-yard backstroke and both the 200-yard and 440-yard freestyle. Kinsey's first Oberlin swim team went undefeated and won the Ohio Conference Championship. Kinsey became the first man in the conference to win three individual championships in one meet. He was a model of consistency throughout his college career earning 22 consecutive dual meet wins. In his senior year, co-captain Kinsey assembled the most points ever earned by a single swimmer. Although Kinsey graduated from Oberlin in 1950, his legacy remained in the record books. Kinsey claimed every school record in the freestyle during his career here. After graduation from Oberlin, Kinsey earned his M.B.A. from Indiana University. Soon thereafter, he created Kinsey and Associates.
