Bernth Lindfors, class of 1959 and an All-American soccer player, earned four varsity letters in both soccer and lacrosse and was co-captain of each team in his senior season. He was named first-team All-Ohio in soccer in 1956, second-team All-American in 1958 and All-Midwest from 1956-58. Lindfors' 115 career assists ranks first in Oberlin lacrosse history and his 162 career points ranks fifth all-time. He led the team in assists in each of his four seasons and his 36 assists in 1958 ranks second all-time. Lindfors was named to the All-Midwest Lacrosse Team four times and helped lead the Yeomen to three Midwest Lacrosse Association championships (1956, 1958, 1959). During his lacrosse career, the Yeomen had a four-year record of 31-5 including undefeated seasons in 1956 (8-0) and 1959 (9-0).
