Dressage Team:
The Oberlin Dressage Team continued to take lessons this week as they prepare for their next show which is Thanksgiving weekend at Chagrin Valley Farms. Team members are working hard in both their lessons and on their own time to learn their dressage tests! Pictured below is the team at Chagrin last year!

Equestrian Team:
The equestrian team had no shows this week but continued to work practice hard. Due to “no stirrup November,” team members have been working particularly hard in lessons. Some team members also participated in a team bonding experience by going on a field trip to the closest tack store.

Tumbling Team:
This Saturday we had another incredibly productive session. For the first half of the session, people rehearsed their acts for the upcoming show next weekend. Following that, we got together to discuss how it was going and our more experienced participants held workshops with individuals to work on particular moves and transitions within their acts. Then each individual and group put on their act for the rest of the group--or the beginnings of their act if it was not completed--and tried out different musical accompaniment. We all gave feedback to each act, pointing out areas they could improve or areas that were stellar and that they should expand upon. And we closed by discussing final details on next weekend's show.

BJJ:
This weekend BJJ reviewed everything from the previous few weeks. We also worked on the can opener, the ninja choke, the crucifix omaplata variations, the copacabana strangler, and a couple takedowns, as well as rolling.

Quidditch:
This we made use of our field house times and worked on our throwing technique. We are excited to practice during our off season and improve our skills.
