GAMBIER, Ohio – Senior
Geno Arthur became the first male North Coast Athletic Conference Champion in program history, while the Yeowomen were dethroned by Allegheny College at the 2015 NCAC Cross Country Championships.
Arthur found redemption in Gambier running to an individual title and beating 2014 champ and rival Logan Steiner of Allegheny. Arthur broke the tape in the men's 8k in 25:00.7 to best the field by 8 seconds
The Camarillo, California native blazed through the 8 kilometer course averaging 5:01.9 per mile. Arthur will attempt to become the first male regional champion in two-weeks time at the 2015 Great Lake egional Championships.

Joshua Urso who crossed the line at 26:00.1 in 11
th. Junior
E.J. Douglass landed in 18
th behind Urso to help the Yeomen to a third place team finish with a time of 26:08.6.24

Ben Gilvar-Parke and
Grant Sheely had solid performances in their first NCAC Championships appearances with 21
st and 24
th place finishes. The rookie duo clocked times of 26:26 flat and 26:32.9 respectively.
Junior
Bradley Hamilton and senior captain
Robert Moreton rounded out the Yeomen's top runners with times of 26:53.4 and 27:14.3.
The Oberlin women were knocked off of the conference throne that they have comfortably occupied for the past six years by the Allegheny Gators, but the Yeowomen amassed 57 points to finish second in the team standings, six points behind the Gators.
Once more in Gambier, the Oberlin women were led by senior
Sarel Loewus who ran her way to a sfifth place finish as an individual. Loewus ran the women's 6k course in a time of 23:01.1.
First-year
Linnea Halsten had an excellent performance in her first appearance at the NCAC Championships with a top ten finish. Halsten finished seventh overall against a field of 95 competitors in a time of 23:08.9.
Junior
Emily Curley ran well at the conference meet with a 12
th place finish on Saturday. Curley completed the 6k loop in 23:28.5.
Second-year
Sarah Urso and first-year Vannessa LoChirco finished back-to-back in 16
th and 17
th to help the Yeowomen to a runner-up finish. The underclass duo clocked times of 23:35.8 and 23:41.5 in Gambier.
Junior
Erin Ford rounded out the Yeowomen scorers with a time of 24:21.3 in 36
th.
Oberlin cross country will return to action in the Great Lake Regional on Saturday, November 14. Action from Terre-Haute, Indiana is set for 11 a.m.
