Kate Hanick were named to the all-conference team on Thursday after helping the Oberlin College lacrosse team to three conference wins in 2013.
Meyer, Andrews, and Helsel received second team honors, while Hanick was named to the honorable mention squad. A senior from Marlboro, N.J., Meyer is no stranger to the all-conference list, as 2013 marks her third time receiving NCAC honors. In 2011, she earned All-NCAC Honorable Mention and was named to the All-NCAC Second Team last year.
Meyer led the Yeowomen with 32 goals and 37 points in her senior season, and ranked fifth in the league with nine free-position goals. In 2013, Meyer started 14 of Oberlin's 15 games and surpassed the milestone of 100 goals in her career, ending with 127.
Andrews, a junior from Oberlin, Ohio, played in all 15 games this season and started 14 of them. An all-conference second team selection, she finished the year with 22 goals and two assists as a midfielder. Andrews led Oberlin with 41 draw controls, while she was second on the team with 43 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers.
A native of San Diego, Calif., Helsel started in 14 of Oberlin's 15 games at defense and was the third Yeowomen from this year's squad named to the All-NCAC Second Team. She finished tied for second on the team in ground balls with 43 and tied for third in caused turnovers with 15. Helsel also ended the 2013 season with four goals on five shots and one assist.
Rounding out the list of all-conference honorees, Hanick started in 13 of her 14 games played in 2013 and received All-NCAC Honorable Mention for the second consecutive year. A midfielder for Oberlin, Hanick led the team in ground balls and assists with 46 and nine, respectively. Among NCAC players, Hanick ranked fourth in ground balls per game with an average of 3.29 per game. The sophomore from Kennett Square, Pa., finished out the season with a team-high 30 caused turnovers and a league-high average of 2.14 caused turnovers a game. Hanick also ended 2013 fourth on the team in goals (14) and third in points (23).
