Guo and Martorella Compete at Nationals

La Crosse, Wis. – Two of Oberlin's own represented the men's and women's track and field teams on Saturday at the NCAA Division-III National Championships, as junior Molly Martorella finished the women's 5,000-meter run in 22nd place, and senior Alexander Guo took 17th in the men's triple-jump.
 
Guo finished the day 17th in the men's triple jump out of the field of 20 after a distance of 46-04.00. Guo represented the NCAC as the conference champion coming into the event on Saturday after a distance of 47-05.25 at the conference meet three weeks ago.
 
Martorella finished 22nd in the 5,000-meter run, crossing the finish at 17:59.19 in the final day of events at nationals. The junior also took 10th in the 10,000-meter run on Thursday with a time of 36:17.22.
