Meadville, PA – The Oberlin College women's cross country team won its fifth consecutive North Coast Athletic Conference Championship, besting the field with 45 points while placing four runners within the top-10.
While the result was the same, it wasn't the usual dominating fashion we have seen from the Yeowomen in previous years. With a very challenging course and less than ideal weather conditions the Yeowomen were still able to overcome it all and defend their title.
"We didn't have our best race today," NCAC Coach of the Year
Ray Appenheimer said. "However I was so proud of our resiliency today and the sign of a good team is how well you overcome the adversity when you are not at your best. It was tough day, but all that matters is we persevered through it and will be better for it at the regional meet and national meet."
Oberlin had its top five runners all earn All-NCAC honors for finishing within the top 21 runners in the race.
