Westlake, Ohio – Oberlin College freshman Alexander Guo was named as the North Coast Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Sunday evening.

Guo, who graduated from the American School in Japan, won the men's triple jump at Oberlin's own invitational meet by covering 41-09.

The award marks the fifth conference honor the Oberlin track and field teams have earned this season.

The Oberlin runners have a busy week ahead. On Friday the teams will be split up between meets at the University of Akron, Boston University and Baldwin-Wallace. On Saturday most of the team will be competing at the All-Ohio Championships, while select individuals will still be participating in Boston.
