November 24 – Six Oberlin College football players garnered postseason recognition from the North Coast Athletic Conference, the league office announced on Monday.
Seniors
Mike Loll, #R.V. Carroll
and sophomore Zach Richard# earned All-NCAC Second-Team accolades, while seniors
Greg Mangan, #Jon Feazell
and sophomore Adam Wigren# received honorable-mention honors.
Loll was one of the elite wide outs in the NCAC, hauling in 59 balls for 600 yards to go along with six touchdowns.
Despite missing four games, Carroll still posted the second-highest yards-per-game total in the conference at 82.7. The 2007 Offensive Player of the Year ended his superb four-year career as the school's all-time leading rusher and point producer.
Richard connected on 19 his 23 PAT attempts and was 2-of-3 on his field goal opportunities on the year.
Mangan finished fifth in the NCAC with 186.9 pass-yards-per-game. The San Francisco, California, native ended second in the league with 63.2 completion percentage. Mangan threw 13 touchdowns and finished his outstanding career as the all-time passing leader. He also has the most touchdown passes in school history and highest career completion percentage.
Feazell totaled 29 tackles and one sack in his nine games of action. While starting all 10 games, Wigren made 28 stops of his own - including a team-high 7.5 tackles for a loss.
The Yeomen, whom were plagued by injuries throughout the season, tied for seventh in the NCAC.
